This article is to guide you on troubleshooting when TV cant play video on Studio whether All TVs or certain TV can't display.
Troubleshooting when certain TVs can't display Playing Video in Studio
Step 1: Check and make sure which TV not able to display video.
Zone A : TV 1,2 and 3 (Step 1 and 2)
Zone B : TV 4,5 and 6 (Step 1 and 2)
Individual : TV 7 (Step 3)
Media Server using Local Network : TV 8 (Step 4)
Refer to Article: TV Mapping in Westgate Studio to differentiate the TV's location.
Step 2: For Zone A or B.
- Check the status of HDMI Splitter located on the Zone A or B. Make sure is power ON with 4 green lights
- If power is on, and the is no green light. Make sure the HDMI cable is plug in properly by unplug and plug in again.
Step 3: TV 7 (TV in dining area) issue.
- Make sure the HDMI Receiver is power ON.
- Unplug all cable from HDMI Receiver and plug in again.
Step 4: TV 8 (TV faced the outside)
- Make sure the PC is switch ON and connect to internet. WIFI name: ABC
- Check the TV internet connection. By pressing Home from the TV’s remote control and select “Network Setup”
- Click on “View Network setting and status” to check the TV internet connection.
- If there is connected to the Internet. It will show internet WIFI. For example "ABC"
- If TV is not connected to internet like the Picture above. Try to reconnect it again by selecting "Set up network connection"
Step 5: If reconnect failed. Try to restart the Wi-Fi mode on the TV
- Go to "System Setting"
- Navigate to Setup -> Network
- Turn the "Built-In Wi-Fi" from ON to OFF. And then ON back again.
- Follow back the Step 4 to reconnect to ABC network.
- If the TV is connected to ABC network, follow back normal process to open the video from the Media server by referring to the article: How to open video on TV 8 (TV face outside escalator) ?
